Felting from wool: bullfinch, master class. Felting a bullfinch Pictures we draw bullfinches on a mountain ash with wool

Spring is persistently coming, and winter has to give up positions. In parting with winter, we propose to do something beautiful and certainly inherent in it - something that we would look at in a hot summer and remember the best winter snowy days. - the topic of today's master class. This amazing bird, truly a symbol of frosty and snowy winter, enchants with its magical coloring.

To make a wool bullfinch you will need:

  • coarse, medium and fine punching needles,
  • felting brush or sponge
  • 50 g coarse wool - sliver,
  • colored wool for finishing,
  • glue gel,
  • plastic.

Progress:

1. Tear the sliver into small strands and fold them into a slide. Form a round ball of wool, put it on the brush and start piercing it with a needle.

It is necessary to start felting with a coarse needle. The needle must be stuck at least to the center, so that the entire product has the same density. As soon as the wool begins to thicken, and the needle enters the wool with effort, it is necessary to change the coarse needle to a medium one.

2. Gradually form the body of the future bullfinch from the ball. Then start “painting” the bird using the appliqué technique.

Application is a finishing operation, and therefore, the work must be done with the thinnest needles.

3. In order for the surface to have a beautiful “felt” effect, colored wool for finishing must be torn very finely and evenly spread on the surface. Start finishing with the breast, then the tummy, then the head, back and wings.

4. Ponytail turn: take a small strand of black wool, put it on the brush and, leaving untied ponytails on one side, knit a rectangular strip. Attach the resulting tail to our bullfinch and roll it with a medium needle.

A happy and friendly family is when children's laughter sounds in the house, and smiles shine on the faces of adults.

We are sure that you will definitely laugh looking at the cheerful bird in an elegant black cap, with a red tummy and beady eyes.

This funny bullfinch, made of wool by dry felting, will be a great gift for both children and adults. In addition, this amazing “miracle in feathers” will bring only positive emotions and good mood on the wings. And our master class will help you make a bird for your child or as a pleasant surprise for friends, because adults also enjoy such funny and funny gifts!

Let's start the master class

You will need:

  • felting brush or sponge;
  • fine, medium and coarse punching needles;
  • 50 g sliver (coarse wool);
  • colored wool for finishing (black, red, white and gray);
  • plastic;
  • super glue (gel);
  • colorless nail polish.

Description of work

  • Sliver needs to be picked up in small strands and folded in the form of a slide for convenience. Then roll a ball of round shape out of the wool, put it on a sponge or brush and begin to gradually pierce it with a needle.

Advice. It is better to start work with a coarse needle, which should be stuck to the center of the product so that the toy is felted evenly and has the same density. After the wool begins to thicken and the needle enters with effort, it should be changed to a medium one.

  • From the resulting ball, the outlines of the future bullfinch should be gradually formed, carefully drawing out the neck and tail line.
  • We “paint” the resulting shape with a thin needle using the application technique, starting from the bird’s breast.

Advice. To achieve the effect of felt on the surface of the toy, colored wool should be torn in small strands and lined very carefully and evenly.

  • After that, we begin to “paint” the tummy, head, back and wings with red wool.
  • The tail requires special attention. To do this, a small black strand is laid out on a brush. Then comes the felting of a flat rectangular shape so that untouched tips remain on one side.
  • The finished tail should be attached to the bird and rolled with a medium needle.
  • Eyes and beak must be made of plastic, baking in accordance with the instructions. After that, with the help of super-glue, they need to be fixed on the head of the bird.
  • The bullfinch's eyes can be covered with colorless nail polish to make it "alive" and realistic.

That's all! Master class is over! A charming bird is ready - it will delight the eye and give a great mood!

Advice. The bullfinch can be hung on a translucent nylon thread anywhere in the children's room.

We decorate the interior

A funny felted bullfinch can become a wonderful interior decoration not only for a child's room, but also for a living room or study. And for everyone who lives in their own house, on New Year's Eve, a bird can be taken out into the yard as a decorative element. However, in this case, a woolen bullfinch made using the dry felting technique must have a special stand made of another material.

For example, you can use the master class, where the bird's legs have a special wire frame. This will protect the toy from contamination and secure it well on a tree branch or other surface.

Stylish jewelry

Jewelry lovers will be able to appreciate the brooch in the form of a bullfinch, also made using the needle felting technique. To do this, following all the tips of the master class, you need to knit a blank for decorating from multi-colored wool in the form of a bird - on the one hand, voluminous, and on the other, flat, in order to sew on a fastener for fixing on clothes. A charming brooch will become not only a funny toy, but also an excellent decoration for a festive costume or will perfectly fit into the New Year's interior of an apartment.

Glamorous ladies will be able to appreciate the brooch in the shape of a bullfinch, made using felting and decorated with Japanese beads, pearls, crystal and Swarovski crystals in a silver-plated frame. This decoration is worthy of true ladies. By the way, such a brooch can be safely put on not only on New Year's Eve, but throughout the entire winter period, constantly catching the admiring glances of others!

The technology of dry felting allows you to literally create masterpieces from wool. Following the advice from our master class, you can not only have a good time, but also feel like a real master and create amazing hand-made beauty yourself.

I bring to your attention wool watercolor master class. This is a very exciting activity! To make such a picture you need:

1) A4 photo frame with glass.

2) wool strands(felt)- colors (white, milky white, light blue, blue, light purple, yellow, scarlet, red, pink, brown, black).

Let's go step by step work:

We take out the glass. We take the back base with loops so that the loop is at the top (more convenient to hang). We will lay out the picture on white paper of the same format as the frame itself. We put a white sheet on the inverted back base.

After that, spread wool for background horizontally

The strands must be "pulled" out of the skein, grasping only the last hairs. We take a little wool, then you get the effect watercolors which we need.

strands wool lay them on top of each other so that the paper does not shine through.

Now we need a scarlet color to make a breast bullfinch.

Overlay black on top wool(head bullfinch) and lower a little down along the body (wing)

Pinch off a small strip black wool, cut off on both sides and palm off at the bottom of the body, thereby getting a tail

To bullfinch came to life, we add not many different shades wool

Now we proceed to the implementation of the rowan branch. For this we need wool brown color and to create rowan berries - red wool. From brown wool we make flagella of different thicknesses and lay them out in the form of a branch. From red wool roll the balls - these will be rowan berries.

To give snowy weather white wool cut and sprinkle rowan branches.

We press the finished work with glass and insert it into the frame

Good afternoon, dear colleagues. Let me introduce you to the process of making an interesting panel "Owl" from colored wool for felting.

Purpose of MK:
to form an aesthetic taste for beauty with the help of new fine art techniques
Tasks of the MC:
- learn how to create paintings using unusual paint
- prepare a gift for friends for the New Year

We are preparing for the new year!
I propose to create a picture

"Winter. Bullfinches!"

We will need:
1.Frame for photos with glass
2. Piece of interlining, flannelAndwhether any matter of light color
3. TsvetnaI sheep's wool (combed tape) of the following colors:
white, yellow, orange, red, purple, lilac, pink, blue, dark blue, sky blue, dark green, black, brown
(Available at craft stores).
4. Scissors, tweezers.

Step 1
- bframe for photos
- we take out cardboard (hardboard) from it.
- Pre-gluingwith PVA glueto the cardboard a piece of light matterthe same size as cardboard.

Step 2
We lay out light-colored wool on the prepared surface with wide thin strands in any direction, evenly filling the entire available area: we create a platform for the future background of the picture.

Step 3
We start painting with wool, laying it out in thin strands, starting from the background and using the required colors.

Just like dyes, wool of several shades can be mixed to varying degrees of uniformity. In our case, we need to take a few pastel shades and, creating smooth transitions, draw the sky.

For a smooth transition from one color to another, it is better to use the "plucking" method, when superficial hairs are plucked from a woolen tape.

Step 4
When painting with wool, we can cut it to create "torn" objects. In our picture, these are barely distinguishable trees.at the edgeforests.
It is better to cut a "mix" of several close colors. In this case, to create the trees, we'll take purple, dark green, navy blue, and brown, blend them together, and cut them right where the tree should be. We fix the tweezers.

Step 5
Create the branches of the trees in the foreground: pull thin strands from the wool ribbon and lay them, bending in the right places

Step 6
Bullfinches.We roll a little red wool between the palms and give it the shape of an oval.
Let's do the same with the rest of the bird's body.
Small details, such as bullfinch legs and eyes, are best transferred to the picture with tweezers.

Step 7
To depict leaves on trees, take yellow mohair,
fold it in several layers and carefully, not thickly cut it in the right places.

Step 8
With white strands of wool we will lay out a snowy surface, in some places creating a shadow with small strands.

Let's "draw" the houses by cutting out the desired shape from a piece of brown wool.
Snow-covered roofs can be cut or rolled into small flagella and laid in the form of a roof.

Step 9
The final touch is falling snow.
Take a piece of white wool in your hands and cut it finely over the entire surface of the picture.
This concludes the artistic part of the work.

Step 10
- Cut off the wool protruding beyond the picture
- carefully cover the picturesque woolen canvas with glass and insert it into the baguette.
